Cremations

At Lake View Bereavement Centre, we provide personalised cremation services in a peaceful lakeside setting, giving families the time, space and support to create a meaningful farewell. Whether you choose an attended service or a direct cremation, every arrangement is carried out with dignity, care and respect.

Cremation planning

If you choose a cremation, we’ll take the time to sit with you to ensure the service is tailored to reflect individual wishes, beliefs and traditions.

The ceremony

Cremation services take place in our peaceful lakeside chapel, designed to offer a calm and reflective setting for family and friends.

Time to say goodbye

To help you say goodbye without feeling rushed or disturbed, we ensure only one service takes place at a time, with each service lasting an hour, giving every family the dedicated time and space they need.

Witnessing cremations

For those with specific religious or personal wishes, we provide a dignified space for up to 6 people to witness the entry of the coffin into the cremator. If desired, viewing can also take place via display screens in the chapel. We kindly ask this is arranged in advance.

Environmentally conscious approach

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we use an electric cremator, helping us reduce emissions and minimise our impact on the natural landscape that surrounds us.

This ensures every service supports both the people we care for and the environment we protect.

Direct cremations

At Lake View, we believe funerals are an important moment for families and friends to reflect and say goodbye to their loved one.

Attended services can offer significant emotional benefits over direct cremation, giving families the chance for closure, shared support, and a personalised farewell.

That’s why we keep the cost of attended cremations to a minimum and work alongside your chosen funeral director to ensure you receive the care and support you need during a difficult time.

If you decide that a direct cremation is the right choice for yourself or a loved one, we will continue to work closely with your funeral arranger.

When the time comes, we’ll support them in making sure every part of the process is carried out with the dignity and respect you deserve.

After the cremation, we'll take the time needed to ensure the ashes are either interred or scattered within the peaceful grounds surrounding the lake, or returned to your family.
